The ‘Gumpo White’ is one of the more common of the Satsuki Azaleas, which come from Japan. Satsuki means fifth month, which is when the ‘Gumpo White’ starts to flower. It is a small, dense, evergreen shrub. The large, single flowers are white with an occasional purple speck on the frilled petals.
