This plant from Germany has beautiful dark purple foliage on long, arching canes.  The creamy white flowers appear in spring and make an excellent contrast to the dark foliage.  It is quite hardy, forming an upright, rounded shrub.  Received 2002 Gold Medal Plant Award from the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

Bloom Time: May through June.

Growth Habit:  Upright, Rounded, 8-10′ in height, same width.

Foliage:  Dark reddish-purple.

Sun/Shade: Sun for best foliage color.
